As the normal golf season is in full swing now,  Skinner West Classical Fine Arts & Technology school doesn’t end until June 17th.  This will make the girls play a little catch up, but all we can do is play the cards we are dealt.  The girls we only play a limited schedule this month.

Happy 13th Birthday to Erica Jackson.  Erica, is now officially a teenager, look out everybody!

This week the girls play in the “Dupage County Junior  Classic” in Addison Il.  This tournament is held at Oak Meadows Golf Club.  Both girls move up in age group this year Myah, moves into the 11 and 12 age group, while Erica will play 13 thru 18.   It’s early in our season but we are looking forward to see were we stand.  If you are in the area come on out and support the Birdiesisters.

Once again the Birdiesisters would like thank the Tiger Woods Foundation for accepting them on the 2011 Tiger Woods National Junior Golf Team.  This is a very high honor!  Special thanks to Ms. Stacy Stark (Director, tournament services) and all those involved in making this decision.  This honor permits the girls to play in what some would say is the biggest junior golf tournament in the world, “The Callaway Junior World Golf  Championships.”   This tournament is held at the prestigious   “Torrey Pines Golf Course” in beautiful San Diego, CA.  The girls are looking forward to moving up the ranks in this world tournament.

The BirdieSisters played this weekend in Ted Rhodes “The Legend Tour,”  a 36 hole golf tournament at University Park Golf Course.  Day one was cool and raining with temps in the mid 60′s.  Erica shot an 80 and Myah was hot on her tail shooting an 82.  They were playing from a distance of 5208 yards.  Day two brought sunshine and blue skies in the mid 70′s.  Both girls had one of the best front 9s of the season shooting 37 (Erica) and 39 (Myah).  Their final day score was 78 (Erica) and 83 (Myah), which  put them 1st and 2nd on the leader board.
